Antonio (Tony) Griego
Jr. Vice Commander - Marines

Antonio (Tony) Griego joined the U.S. Marine Corp. on March 30, 1970.  He served in the Marine Corp for four years  and was discharged in March, 1974.  Tony's Military Occupational Specialty was as an Infantryman in the U.S. Marine Corps. Tony received Basic or Boot Camp Training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) in San Diego California.  After receiving rigorous physical and mental toughness discipline training at the MCRD; Tony received eight (8) months of infantry training at U.S. Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton and Advanced Individual training (AIT) at Camp Pendleton, near the City of Oceanside, California.   Tony's advanced individual training included Sea Duty Training and training in the Marine Military Police.  Tony is a Vietnam Veteran who served two (2) years aboard the USS Ranger - Attack Aircraft Carrier CV(A)-61.  Tony spent his last two years in U.S. Military Service at the Fallbrook Naval Weapons Station, in California.  After U.S Military Service, Tony served for eight (8) years, as a Police Officer, on the Los Lunas Department, and Valencia County Sheriff's Department; and as a Security Guard for the Isleta Casino and Resort.  Until he retired Tony owned and operated his own paint and body shop small business.  He now continues to serve his local community as the Jr. Vice Commander of the Daniel D. Fernandez, VFW Post 9676.
