Caytano (Guy) Arrellano served in the U.S. Air Force - New Mexico Air National Guard (NMANG) from November, 1966 through 1988 (23 yrs 5 Mos). He was discharged as an E-6 in January, 2008. His Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) was Air Craft Mechanic (USAF), Machinist - Hydraulic Flight Controls (NMANG). Guy is a Vietnam Veteran and he participated in many USAF Exercises such as: "Combat Hammer" at Tyndall, Air Force Base (AFB), in Florida in 1995; "Cornet Deep Singapore", July 1995; "Operation Pitch Black", Australia, July 1996; "Decisive Edge", Italy, February 1997; "Operation Southern Watch" (OSW), Kuwait, April 1998; "ONW", Turkey January 2001; "Saltire Chile", August 2000; "Open Educational Resources " (OER), (CAPA N.J, March 2002; "Saltire", Chile, September 2004; "Iraqi Freedom", Iraq, July 2004; and "Hurricane Katrina", Louisiana, September, 2005. When Guy retired he joined the American Legion, American Legion Riders, Combat Vets, and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9676. Guy has four (4) grandkids and lost his son in the military in 2018.
