1930-2016
Miguel "Mike” H. Sosa, age 86, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran and fought in the battle of Chosin Reservoir. Mike was a commander of the VFW post 9676 and was a proud member of the VFW for over 30 years. He owned and ran a gas station from the late 1960’s to the 1970’s, which he converted to Superior Wrecker Service and was involved with for more than 30 years. One of Mike’s proudest accomplishments was a memorial statue that he erected to commemorate his fallen Korean War comrades and all veterans at the Tome Community Center. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, Carmen Sosa; children, Dennis, Cindy, and Randy Sosa and wife, Stacie, and Tina Abeita and fiance, Gabriel Padilla; step-children, Edy Diaz and wife, Magdalena, and Karla Aniles and husband, Esteban; grandchildren, Daniel, Melissa, Timothy, and Joshua Sosa, Jacob and Johanna Abeita; and step-grandchildren, Nuvia, Jocelyn, Jose, and Deanna Lemus, and Edy Jr., Breanna, and Jordan Diaz.
