Started with the ScholarsApp.com Portal
The VFW uses a free web portal called ScholarsApp.com to support the application and entry processes. Besides providing
details of the entry process, including; qualification requirements, entry
content requirements, and entry submission via the website, the ScholarsApp.com
portal also provides suggestions and guidance on developing a competitive
submission.
To get started, go to ScholarsApp.com and create an account. The website provides accounts for students, plus parents
and counselors that may be supporting an applicant. To get the specific award
application connected to the account, link to the summary page for the

Click on the heart at the top right of
the summary page and the portal will link it to your favorites list. When you
return to the Search Page, turn on "Show Favorites” and the same summary page
will appear and the application process can begin.
The attached flyer also provides the
basic background for each VFW competition and links to the ScholarsApp.com summary
pages.
